Johnny Garcia didn’t start serving Pico Rivera when he was elected to City Council. For decades, he has worked with local youth, seniors, families, veterans, and residents, building a record of community service long before holding elected office.
Today, Johnny is continuing that work at City Hall with a focus on safe neighborhoods, responsible spending, strong parks, reliable infrastructure, and opportunities for Pico Rivera families.
Decades of service at Rivera Park
Long before running for office, Johnny could be found where generations of Pico Rivera families have spent their weekends at Rivera Park.
For nearly 40 years, Johnny has been involved with the RBA baseball program, helping support generations of local players and families.
That experience represents what public service means to Johnny: showing up, putting in the time, and investing in the next generation.

Johnny supports a comprehensive approach to public safety that protects neighborhoods, addresses crime and quality-of-life concerns, and gives young people opportunities to choose a better path.
His experience working in youth and gang intervention has shown him that keeping communities safe requires both effective enforcement and prevention.

Residents work hard for their money, and Johnny believes City Hall has a responsibility to treat taxpayer dollars the same way.
He supports careful budgeting, long-term planning, transparency, and making sure city resources are focused on services residents actually use and depend on.
